Pax Christi International is a non-governmental Catholic peace movement working worldwide to establish peace, respect for human rights, justice and reconciliation. It calls on the Catholic Church and the world to give primacy to and actively promote nonviolent approaches to transform conflict and protect vulnerable communities.Pax Christi is grounded in the belief that peace is possible, and that vicious cycles of violence and injustice can be broken.
To contribute to the restoration of a culture of peace, reconciliation and tolerance, and to the improvement of the living conditions of the whole communities
- To train sisters in active nonviolence, peacebuilding, nonviolent communication and trauma healing.
- Providing them with the tools and skills necessary to become trainers themselves in their own local communities reaching out to youth and members of religious communities.
- Empowering them to be agents of peace and accompany victims of violence in their communities.
